Goroka, EHP: Segitoka was the first ever community to be self-declared as Open Defecation Free as of Thursday 10th October 2019. All households constructed their toilets within 2-3 days: having a pit covered with the lid, ventilation pipe, superstructure with a door and a tippy-tap near the toilet. They are also pouring ash into the pit after use. To mark the success, the community had a traditional celebration whilst regular follow ups will be conducted to monitor the community.
